I'm the the Curator of Special Projects and Director of Global Arts Programs at the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at New York University, where I direct the NYU Global Asia/Pacific Art Exchange. I also co-organize the East Coast Asian American Art Project (ECAAAP), an inter-institutional art, archives and digital humanities project, including the Virtual Asian American Art Museum Project (VAAAMP). I am also the co-Editor in Chief of the journal Asian Diasporic Visual Cultures and the Americas (ADCA) with publisher Brill (Leiden) and institutional partners, the Asia/Pacific/American Institute at New York University and the Gail and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Institute for Studies in Canadian Art at Concordia University. I work on global Asian art and visual culture and am particularly interested in transnational and transcultural frameworkings and the contemporary longue duree art historical narrative. I also have a background in documentary filmmaking and editing, oral history and web producing.
