I am an Associate Professor of sculpture in the department of Art and Art History at Colgate University. did my undergraduate work at Yale University, was a member of the inaugural group of CORE Fellows at the Glassell School, Houston and received his MFA from Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh, Scotland. I work often in public/institutional spaces nationally and internationally, including the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Massachusetts; Sculpture Center, New York; Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston; Sagacho Exhibit Art Space, Tokyo and Kennedy Art Museum, Ohio University. As a recipient of a Picker Interdisciplinary Science Grant Institute from Colgate, I lead a team of mathematicians, architects, engineers and software designers creating new scripts for pattern generation and exploring close packing to create dynamic systems and new digital and physical tools to explore ideas for structures.
